Start with a Mail export from Google Takeout. Unzip it, then follow these three steps.

Keep this tab open while it works. Emails larger than 64 MiB and unreadable messages are reported as skipped. A partial scan is clearly marked before export.
Questions about extracting your attachments
How do I extract Gmail attachments from Google Takeout?
Export Mail at Google Takeout, download and unzip the archive on your device, then select the .mbox file inside its Mail folder here. Filter the attachments and download your selection as an organized ZIP. The ZIP includes a CSV linking each file to its sender, subject and email date.
Does this upload or read my Gmail account?
No. The extractor reads only the MBOX file you choose, locally in your browser. It does not connect to Gmail or upload the archive, attachments, filenames or email details. No account is required. Closing the tab clears the session.
Can I extract only PDFs or photos?
Yes. Choose PDFs, photos and images, documents and spreadsheets, or other files. You can also filter by sender, filename or email subject, and an inclusive date range using UTC email dates. This tool does not classify invoice contents or extract data from inside documents.
How large can my archive be?
The archive is scanned in chunks and one email is decoded at a time. Individual emails over 64 MiB are skipped with a notice. A scan supports up to 200,000 emails and 100,000 attachments. Desktop Chrome and Edge can write large ZIPs directly to disk; other browsers support selections up to 250 MiB per ZIP. Device memory and available disk space still matter. Split very large Takeout exports into smaller batches.
Will it remove duplicate attachments or signature logos?
Only if you choose those filters. Exact duplicate detection compares file contents, not names. The signature filter hides small inline images, which can include genuine photos, so review the list before exporting. Different files sharing a name are preserved with a numeric suffix.
Can it open ZIP, PST or OST archives?
No. Unzip a Google Takeout download first, then choose one .mbox file at a time. This version is designed for standard Google Takeout MBOX archives, not ZIP, TGZ, PST, OST, encrypted mail or every other mailbox format. Attached email messages are kept as EML files.
Does downloading attachments free up Gmail storage?
No. This tool reads your downloaded archive and never changes Gmail. Keep the original archive and verify your exported files before deciding whether to remove anything from your Google account.
